we went iceskatiingg (:

I love reading blogs, I think my favourite blog to read is SarahLee’s. She always updates, and I know many people just like looking at pixels, but I loveee reading what she writes. She could write forever and ever and I could just read forever and ever, that’s why I love following her. But if you ever had to “follow” MY blog, you’d be very frustrated. Sometimes, I just have writers block, and my mind seems to be empty, birds flying all over OR my mind could be too crammed with a million birds all trying to fly their way around. But right now, it’s not a writers block. I’m kinda enjoying Iowa, I love it so much here. This place is so very different from my Malaysian city life. I miss my scene back home, but things are so different here my mind is so overwhelmed by everything. I want to write about it, and take pictures to show you guys. But words and pixels just don’t do justice, you have to be here, with the cold wind brushing your face and the glittering sky when the sun shines on the snow to really understand what I’m talking about. I lovee this place. Although the cold can be cruel sometimes, most of the time it just intoxicates you with smiles and shivers. Summer sounds beautiful too, I miss running around in my shorts and flipflops, and I miss the smell of the rain, but I barely think about that when I’m in this winter wonderland.

For some reason, mornings seem more appealing here than back home. Maybe because the noise starts earlier in Malaysia. But in Grimes, it’s so nice and quiett and everything is so pretty here. In the morning, deers come out from the forest and walk near our house. I wish I could see more of that. And I love breakfast, it’s my new favourite meal-of-the-day. We always have something good to eat. Egg casserole, gorrila buns, cinnamon rolls, yumm.

“Morning. Strawberry sky dusted with white winter powder sugar sun.”

Anywhos,

I’ve been doing good if you’re wondering, I’ve adjusted to the cold and I’ve stopped complaining about it (: I haven’t really been doing much, cept a lot of shopping. 60% of the stuff I shopped for was for college and the remaining 40% was for all my winterclothes. All that’s left right now is stuff to decorate my room with. My roommate Anna is amazing. I’ve met her once (so far) but I know I’m going to love her forever because the way she deals with my obsession for pink is amazing. Speaking of pink,

look at the rug I got for our room (:
Everytime I look at it, my heart skips a few thousand beats.

Hmm,
I honestly can’t wait till it’s move-in day for Central. My parents planted the going to Central idea when I was sooo small (literally and figuratively, I used to be tiny back then ): I hate all the PMR/SPM weight), so it feels like I’ve been waiting forever for this to happen. And in four more days, I’ll be in the room right next the room my aunt had 20 years ago. It feels so good. I can’t wait for this new life, Independence, experience, people and even the education.
Ooooh, just a few more days.

I miss my friends; Shalina I miss calling you at 6pm everyday.
I wish you were at Central with me.
I would give up pink for you,
:(

I miss you homie,

Hello my beautiful, patient and very awesome readers;

UPDATES.
1. I am starting to fall head over heels in love with Iowa, the snow, the cold, the moon that appears at 4pm, the very starry sky where Jupiter is often visible and can be seen with the naked eye and oh, everything about this place makes me feel fuzzy inside.
2. Did you know “Yo” is a real word? Well, it is.
3. In America, the food is so GOOD (Yummy-good, definitely NOT healthy-good).
4. In America, I can watch everything online, without downloading and man streaming is so fast.
5. In America, everything is so cheap it makes me want to cry. I am currently looking into a Blackberry that cost $9.99 (with a 2 year plan of course). Ricekrispies cost $2. Yes, this is heaven.
6. I met my roommate Anna, and she’s amazing and I lalalove her already.
7. College is starting very soon and I am sooo excited about my liberal arts education.
I should go now. How I Met Your Mother calls. :)
So I spent my new years watching How I Met Your Mother, drinking coke and forcing myself to stay awake. I’ve been here for 11days and I’m still struggling to stay awake, stupid jetlag :(
I think 2009 was a very significant year for me.
Mostly because it marked the end of my highschool life.
The year I sat for SPM.
My majorproject, In Africa’s Shoes.
I don’t have any regrets of how I spent 2009.
Cept that I really wish I gave my stupid Math and Biology teachers a piece of my mind, grr.
But besides that,
2009 was brilliant.
And I hope 2010 won’t let me down as well.
Oh,
we saw Jupiter last night.
I love the sky here.
Happy New Years
Ever since I got to Iowa, I haven’t exactly done amazingly-exciting-blogworthy things (therefore lack of Iowa-related posts). And we reached before Christmas, so we were super busy with Christmas preparations and after Christmas I managed to get a lot of shopping done and well, I fall sick, obviously.
I’m not ME if I don’t fall sick.
It’s like, Madonna makes music.
I make doctor bills.
Oh wells…
I will, however, entertain you with a couple of interesting pixels.
:)
I can already hear you guys go “yay!”
This is the reason I LOVE America, cinnamon rolls the size of my FACE;

This is the backyard, where Anjali, Aidan (my cousins) and I had a snowball fight. After 5 minutes I gave up trying to run in the snow and just decided to sit and let them throw snowballs at me;

This is the awesome gingerbread train my awesome aunt made. Don’t you just LOVEEE it??
And finally,
this is me, loving/hating the snow;
Oh wells, until next time. x
Haha, I am so cool ;)

Maiden Voyage; our very nautical graduation prom.

The show started off with VivaVertical poledancers, both male AND female. oooh lala.
I just wish the male poledancers were as indecently dressed as the female ones :(
Oh wells.

I think the main highlight of the prom was the poledancers and of course, the transexuals.

“What’s your shoesize boy??”
Really, a prom isn’t a prom without a transexual hitting on your friends boyfriends.

Anyways, prom wasn’t as magical/awesome as I hoped it to be. But my date/friends made it very magical for me. For the oblivious ones who still don’t know who my date was;

YeeHsiong.

AND THESE ARE MY HOMIES :D  Oh God. I went out of the hall for a bit, and when I came back the trannie was at our table and then she just pulls me up on stage. Note: MY SHOES WERE DAMN HARD TO WALK IN. So I tripped on the stairs and fell :( And then the trannie was talking, bla bla bla. We had to catwalk and win the Ms/Mr Fabulous title. Note: MY SHOES WERE DAMN HARD TO WALK IN. And then I catwalked damn stupidly. But I still won :p Sorry Rizal haha.

But yes, thank you for making prom magical for me.

Merry Christmas!
Yeah look at all those presents.
My aunt decided to go major on Christmas this year. All her family are here and we’re all celebrating Christmas together! Which explains why there’s like a million presents under (or rather around) our tree.
All these presents were wrapped in red/green Christmas-themed wrapping paper.
But there was one little box under the tree that went against the norm…
PINK DELL INSPIRON WINDOWS 7 W000000000T!
I love you Santa.
Anyways, there’s a lot of yummy food that’s waiting for me downstairs.
Updates on prom soon.

BYEEEEEEEEEE.

Kieran is such a dummy.
A very sweet dummy. He took me out for dinner last Wednesday.
Ahh, I miss him.

We had good food, horrible risotto.
I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEE RISOTTO, but never order the seafood one at Italiannies!
You might as well take a gun and blow your brains out.

thanks you.

Rest&relax - that was what day3 was all about. As usual, we started off our day with bumming around in the beach. I love bumming around in the beach. So nice lahh :) And as per always, we took a million pixels. And we ate a lot of yummy ice-cream. Eating ice-cream, wearing sunnies and bumming around the beach.

Bliss.

Reshmin is smelly!

TokioHotel FTW!

I decided to bring my fisheye along, once my dad posts me the photos (oh right, as I blog this I’m already in America!), I’ll post them up (:

Sandra, Carrie & Carmen..on a rock.

Sandra, Carrie & I…under a rock.

My friends are so pretty (:

MY FRIENDS ALSO STALK SMALL LITTLE GIRLS!

My friends are also damn retarded…

Mostly retarded.

But I still love them (:

After all that ice-cream, we realized we were so late for our spa session. So we quickly went on to Spa Bay for our Balinese massages. I never really had a full body massage before AND MAN AM I MISSING OUT ON LIFE. I love massages! Shalina and I got ours done together, and once it was over we were contemplating whether or not we should wear our Batik towels or put our clothes back on.

You can figure what we chose to do.

We had to leave early, so we didn’t really have time to do anything.

But we did do this;

I’m going to miss this.
